False Hope

Eyes swelling with stars as the Sun seems just within your fingers reach,
Hands frozen with icy regret while puffed clouds of dreams suckle rain like a leech,
Drops of tears slipping past the sunshine as heavens hints prove fake,
Stormy days swiping away at the walls that push you persuasively to stay awake,

Grasping onto summery breaths of pinnacle promises,
Before the swelling seals of singing heat are shunned upon by flakes of snow so flawless,
And glacial binds of constricting tensions grate your mind like blocks of cheese,

You sway with such oozing joy so radiant,
That your deluded brain dusty with the shavings of misleading maps,
Bursts into gaseous spines of chilling flames,
When sense-tingling forests of delicate danger entangle you in their pathless gradient.

Just when you've built up your courage like a beaten bully,
And risen on life's stabilizing ride,
Those sturdy steely beams you've built by safeguarded steps and a pulley,
Crumble and transfigure into wooden stakes consumed by squirming termites that litter your dark side,
Recoiling with nauseous screams, you drop through rickety floors with no foundation,
And struggle to find a bottom to the lies you've been led to towards damnation,
Those false secrets of hope sparkle and blast just a minute too late,
To be seen through your darkest dungeons where that golden smile melts and dulls away with fate.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
