Heart of Gold

Near my heart fold is a robe made of gold
strung with fine rope of silver thread stitched hope
turbulent waves wash fabric so old
sun warmed breeze dry blows

I long for the some day
far away on distant shore
find a kind sun ray
while I dream about one day

In my own little world I build a glass globe
fill it there in with sand and trees and water and pleasant life untold
I find a small stream running from a mountain peak
I rest in the tall grass, baked by sunlight, populated by reeds

A blue bird sings on a willow tree
I can close my eyes and now I feel free
from stress and life and city filled strife

Then I awake and there is a hope that one way
I find my way there someday with a heart full of gold
that I can unfold under the sun's bright hold
