In My World

I long for a world of peace and hope,
I long for a world serene;
I long for a world where no children cry
and we all have the finest things

I long for a world of happiness,
for every one far and near;
I long for a world of freedom,
where no one must live in fear

I long for a world that can join as one,
we can all lean on each others shoulder;
I long for a world where no illness lies
and there’s no fear of getting older

I long for a world where truth prevails;
there is no such thing as a lie
I long for a world of spiritual hope,
where no one is afraid to die

I long for a world where we all belong,
no feelings hurt;
 no pain;
I long for a world of acceptance,
where no one gets left in the rain

I long for a world of laughter,
a smile on every face;
I long for the day when all humanity sees,
we are all from the very same race
