at age 60!
Toni, I look at you and say, "Can you believe this Your 60?"—I laugh because I do.
And so what? Yes I beat you to sixty (as you constantly telling me) by a month...or two.
I feel sorry for many will never experience this special friendship we've found,
We are a testimony to everyone we meet
That a Man and Woman can be Platonic
as crazy as it sounds
Out of my sixty years on this earth, twenty-seven have been spent right by your side,
And despite a couple of hiccups along the way, it’s been one hell of a beautiful ride.
Remember when we first met? Often sneaking out for smokes at work, trying to help a girl we both knew?
Not knowing that thru "OUR HELP" she started Falling for YOU!! LOL
But when she left, we started hanging out so much, people started questioning my "personal touch,"
Whispering that we had to be more than friends because we were together way too much.
I’d tell them "No!"—no way, not even a little bit, we’re just tighter than most people understand,
But they never believed me, so after a while, you know me, I started saying, "Ok Yeah! WTF, I’m the other Man!"
People couldnt believe saying "Its Impossible for Men and Women to be Best Friends".
Well, we've been the exception to that rule for over 28yrs. RIDE or DIE till the End.
And too, to your husband Mike? I want to extend my deepest thanks for the man that he has been,
For allowing me the honor of having you, Toni, as my "Best F’ing Friend."
Thank you, Mike, for giving me that REAL, OLD SKOOL, Ride or Die who rolls until the end,
The kind of loyalty that doesn't break, no matter what kind of corners life might bend.
For also being the only man I know who’d let another man visit his wife for a week or two,
I realized it wasn’t just about trusting me—it was about the rock-solid trust he had in you.
It’s a unique testament to a relationship that, in the beginning, I didn't quite understand,
But now I see the strength in the way you two walk through this life, hand in hand.
So here’s to Sixty years of life, twenty-seven years of "us," and a bond that’s built to last,
A future just as bright and real as every memory we’ve made together in our past.
