The Blues

There are days when the blues are blue
And the nights are lonely, without a clue
When your thoughts wonder aimlessly through-out the day
And you sit through the longest days
When the people you love are gone
And the pain just lingers on
When hope and despair stand still
And you long for the days when life felt fulfill
But life is a road less traveled
With forks and curves that are overlooked
And you think the path should be straight for the journey
And life gets overbearing when it's overbooked
Life is not all filled with roses
There are thorns that you have to bear
It's the end of the journey that's important
And the lesson learned when you get there

Beautiful poem, I especially love this part: "life is a road less traveled With forks and curves that are overlooked". This is a life lesson in a poem, well done! Welcome to PoetrySoup :)
