Respect Our Mother

Am I the only person, that repulses at the thought- that this world, once great, is being, so harshly torn apart?
What sense does it make, to destroy your home, for meaningless monetary gain?
Do these people understand that the cost of their lives, is leaving our Mother stranded- sure to die.
Pretty selfish I say, to live all your days- seeing this Earth for what you can take.
I see Her as Life, so I treat Her right. For, I'm not so dull not to care what goes on after I've ended this blink of a life.
LET YOU SEE, NOW, THAT THIS WORLD THAT SURROUNDS- US ALL WITH LIFE, MUST SURELY GO ON ONCE WE ALL HAVE DIED! THINK OF THE LIVES, COMING IN DUE TIME- FOR THEM WILL YOU LEAVE, AN EARTH- SHRIVELED AND DRY?
Please people start using your heads-
This world must go on long after we're dead!
You must change your ways- stop thinking by days.
For, continuing on as you have for so long,
Brings such pain and sorrow for generations of tomorrow.
