Words Tonight
I write because I please to
Free my mind from grief through
Extensive mental release in ink
Expressed with this pen I use
I clear out the fog from within
To clearly see, yet it seems relief
Is still just simply out of reach
The surrounding haze is back
Arguing with a twisted mind
Once again I've misplaced mine
Just then, suddenly my pen
Righteously lays down a strongly
Rhyme infested riddled line
In which you will find inevitably
Hidden in disguise, mysteriously
Curious insight in every line that I
Articulate in each rhyme meticulously
Organizing thoughts of many kinds
Investing energy to design unique
Skills I can progress, thinking fast
At light speed thoughts pass while
Acutely sifting through diverse, endless
Metaphorical lemons and limes I'm
Defining in writing, my curse is gifted
But mine, infinite purpose, eternal life
So I've composed for those interested in
Words tonight, as I free write my mind.
