A Flag Speaks At Hampshire College

?So...... burn me
 you can try
To use my colors for a fire
 But why ??
I am the flag of Freedom
 Semper Fi

Red - the blood of patriots hear them sigh
White - their Mothers’ tears hear them cry
Blue - hopes and dreams of freedom..never die

So... burn me
symbol of your right to speak
 burn me
flag of human rights
  burn me
flag by whose bright lights
those who thirst for freedom set their sights

So... burn me... BURN ME UP .... LIGHT THE SKY !!

Have your little say
 Then say goodbye.
Defile the flag of Freedom
 for your gain,
Only your own honor
 has been stained.

In the hearts of men
 I truly fly,
I am the flag of Freedom
 Semper Fi.

You can only burn me, I can never die.
