Ego Full of Lies

Your lies have not gained truth.
Told over and over they reek of crap.
Unnecessary yet still you persist.
Draped in fantasy as you try to rap.

I watch people looking puzzled every time.
Your not old enough for the life you claim.
Your stories full of ego and bad boy illusions.
You are a good man, this need to lie a shame.

Who are you under the stories you tell?
The joking masked rapper from our first date?
The silly dancing man who came calling years back?
I'd like to see the real you step up to the plate.

Your ego is not the real you my dear man.
The stories are like a shadow on you.
Created to impress the fans you hope to gain.
Truth, a new muse for you to become the real you.
