Tomorrow

If we sit and believe,
That we are the leaders of tomorrow,
Then i am duly afraid,
Extremely perturbed,
That we won't have a tomorrow to lead.

If we don't strive,
To lead, not to follow,
How sad,
Uhh… how bad,
That the dreams burn out and fade.

Yet, yet we are a bee hive,
Ideas umpteen, but the sorrow,
Fearing goals, how the go unachieved,
And the truths we cling to are lies, fabricated,
It couldn't get any worse, in their mud we wade.

How is it independence,
When years later, our abilities are shackled?
Dreams crushed and thrown into dark dungeons?
Voices of reason are muffled indefinitely?
Still, our shoes remain dusty when it raining heavily.
