Just Life

Life is getting like this now.
We quickly flip to the bad side when something good happens.
We say it's a layer of protection against the unforeseen.
We would rather enjoy the imagination of trouble in the midst of a blessing.
So we suffer twice, in imagination and reality, against something that is not even seen.
We shift from God's blessed me to God help me.
When something good happens, we lay off happiness to ponder on the pain of what is not, but it might never, will never.
I want to marry you, so we have to be settled on divorce first. It becomes a minefield waiting on who will make mistakes first.
He took me on a date so I have to pay him back.
That way, social media won't clap back.
After all, I have to post, I had a nice time, so when they ask, I will say he got nighttime.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
