Different Shades of Blue

How can you say such stuff
Saying that I’m not enough
When I look at myself looking back
You say there’s something I lack
Being big or being thin
Why does the lies win?
Saying your weight is bad
Maybe you should lose a tad
Wondering why you had upsets
There’s no safety nets
Many teens struggle on a daily
When they think their crazy
Because they think their overweight
Because of the tiny bit of food they ate
That a size 5 in jeans is fat
Wondering what’s wrong with that?
It’s just games moving through your head
Trying to get lies to get ahead
Saying your not what you could be
Or should see
But you’re just fine without a change
But they say you're strange
What is society trying to do
What is it doing to you?
Making up BS to take away your love
For how you look at your shape
You just know that you hate
Because thoughts that mess with our minds
Cause things that can be so unkind
Until you know that body image
Made all these girls so timid
About themselves

I really like this Juliana. It truly does highlight the struggles with weight perception. Very talented and meaningful.
