I Gave

I gave you all I had to give,
but in your love you would not let me live.
I gave you a bridge to lighten your path,
but you chose your broken past.
I held out my hand for one moonlit dance,
you would not reach,if only you would of taken a chance.
I gave you the key to my heart,
but with the key you chose to part.
I led you to the window of my soul,
but you were foolish and more interested in mere gold.
I gave you all I had to give,
but now alone in shadows you live.
