Longing
my heart yearns for peace.
a need to forgive.
a desire to grow,
a longing for love.
an ache like no other.
a burning which never ends.
a child who screams from within.
a fear of letting go;
of releasing all that disables me.
a dream of a different life.
a calming which never comes.
a healing which never appears.
a world that is so far away
a world i have always dreamed of.
a world i fear i will never know.
i must move forward
find a way
make it happen.
no more excuses....
