Gratitude

I felt my pocket.
It was there,I walked on.
My hard earned money.
Saved for 3 months.
To please
'Her sweetness'.
Beauty beyond oral and written expression.

Roses, stilletos,handbags,
Make-up,latest fashion
Hair did,manicure, pedicure
...all cures for my queen.

The season for lovers was back.
Everything perfect,no blunders.
A candle-lit dinner under the stars.
Warm fire by the table, buffet on the table. My love in my arms.

On one knee
Under the moonlight did it pop.
With unassuared assurance of a positive feedback.

And why not?
My hard-earned money surely bought me the sun, this time around.

"Thanks for everything. But marriage,no thanks!"
Black clouds.Heavy rains.
Drenched, I watched the sun disappear behind the dark sky.

2008.
