I Went There All By Myself

THE DUNGEON THAT SUFFOCATES MY SPIRIT
ITS MY SOUL THAT SEEKS TO SUFFER,
OTHERWISE WHY ELSE WOULD I COME HERE
WHY DOES MY BODY BETRAY ME,
WHY WOULD MY BEING DENY ME AS I LIVE AND BREATHE,
IF I WERE TO DIE ITS MY HEART THEY WOULD WANT TO TAKE,
ITS MY HEART THEY SEEK,
PITY THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT STATE ITS IN,
PITY THEY CANT SEE THE SHRIVELLED RED PUMPING OBJECT INSIDE ME,
THEY DON’T KNOW ITS TORN AND BROKEN;
THAT ITS SUFFERED
THE PAINS OF A THOUSAND MACHETES;
THAT ITS BEEN BEAT AND WASTED;
BEAT AND WASTED, BEAT AND WASTED
THEN THROWN INTO THE DRAIN
I WISH IT WERE PERFECT,
I  WISH IT WERE SAFE,
I WISH IT WAS WITH YOU
IF I WERE TO DIE ITS MY MIND THEY SHOULK SEEK

A powerful thought I must say, Sibusisiwe. A well-thought-out. You might want to choose a subtle size of font for another mood effect and check some possible errors on spelling. :)

Sibusisiwe Sibusisiwe Sibusisiwe - I can relate with this piece. Does the soul seek to suffer? not entirely. Having felt like I was built a dungeon myself, I'd say the soul seeks to be born; to mature and suffering ushers it there. It's not home sweetheart, it's a path and soon you'll leave it all behind and when you look back it'll all make sense. Well done on a meaningful piece
