Deeper

Underneath a fraudulent moon
I take a breath and dive
Breaking the plane of the silver water
Going deeper

The ripples fade above me
As I glide beneath the surface
Floating and then sinking
In the silence of my own company

Coming up for air
The water falls like diamond tears
Who knows what the tide will bring
Perhaps something I could never hide

Going deeper
Past moonfoam and silver
