Scars

In this world of stress
Sweetie you stare around yourself
Scared and tired from the war in your head
I love you

A scar of ivory color disrupted by crimson appears
Internally I scream the words for you to stop
You carry on, holding yourself tightly
I still will always love you

Handed you was the blade
Tears were welled in your orbs of bleakness
Another scar of ivory disrupted with crimson
I'll still love you

Your eyes were have open staring at me
Crimson poured around you
The ivory was covering your arms
I love you still....

Rachael, Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another. I myself, enjoy reading and commenting those who want to be read. The only time I give constructive criticism is when a poet desires it. However, if for some reason the poem is not my field I will guide you to someone who is more qualified than I. Stop by and read one of my poems if you like. My poems are not perfect, but I have a feeling you might like one. I encourage you to check out the contest page and read to receive comments. Tell me a little about your poetic skills if you like. It will be my pleasure to follow and read every poem you post from here on :) We are Lucky To Have you. Your New Poet Friend @-> LINDA <-@

Never Surrender Your Beautiful Soul... To any earthly demon.....They are "nothing". These demons choose self... They will implode....... Leave them to their own demise....... Tend to your scars..... You will heal..... And your wounds will give strength....Your Beautiful Soul....will Triumph......for your pain is pure....Make it your Sword.... Command ..... And Believe in You!!!

Rachel, your poem invites interpretation from others. After reading your poem, "Scars," I feel you are writing about an individual who has mental problems and cannot communicate outside of his/her sphere of paranoia. You are welcome to read, "Beth's Straw Bonnet." It was written about my daughter, Beth, who suffered from profound retardation and palsy. All the best, Sonia.
