My Homeade Raft of Serenity

The water is rippling between my toes
The sunsets beauty is illuminating
I see the glow of pink and orange
Spreading across the oceans bluish green
A flock of birds are flying by
Across the darkening colorful sky
The dark of the night is creeping in
The beauty of the scene is such a sin
The air smells so clean and fresh
Like ripe flowers picked in the spring
And I hear the gentle water splash
That the underwater world brings
So here I am lying down
On my homemade raft
Enjoying this serenity
That god himself did craft
Away from traffic and human kind
No one's around to interrupt me
Allowing myself to clear my mind
And inhale the surrounding beauty.
