Absence

Your words ringing in my ears
Like bits of history
Of time lost
Play their tune
In my absent mind
Numbed by the frozen wait
Now silence keeps sneaking
Into my melancholy
Tinged with instant
Memories
The magic buried
In permanent obsessions
Disappears
In impassible moving sands
As I watch
Hopeless
The evanescent vision
Slip by
On the worn path
