I Saw You At Your Worst

I saw you from a distance
with the lost of the activity of your limbs
you were talking to someone
that wasn't even there
I continued walking
much to my surprise there you were turning the corner
coming in my direction
the you that I see today
was not the you that I saw two weeks ago
I looked confused not knowing what to do
I held my composure
I walked beside you
because you tampered with a drug
that's killing by the millions
you do not look the same
I am surprised that you even knew your name
As you were talking
I looked you in your eye
it was as if the only thing that was keeping youon your feet
was GOD up above
I just didn't understand how something could destroy the mind
spirit even if I tried
I walked beside you and I cried
