Just a Night

It was a lonely night full of expections
With dreams in my head filled with decorations
All wasn't well but still left a notion
Though felt right but full of imperfections
It was a cake sliced into pieces but never had my own portion
I needed a share to it but I never had a chance to make proposals
I wasn't well in the mind since I needed someone to hold me tight this night

You have the rare ability to invoke great passion in a most emotive way, Mercy...beautifully penned. My very best regards! :) john
