Vampire's Lament

I lie awake within the walls
Of my midnight garden
Hoping to hear
One silver syllable
From your perfect mouth
But your eyes never open
You never wake
Skin soft against my kisses
Beneath the weeping willow

A river of darkness
Runs through my heart
Never eased by dawn’s grey slumber
And the birdsong scatters
With the sun’s rays
& my mind shatters
& strays
No longer afraid
Everlost in rain

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
