Lonesome

Lonesome

now day is ended
fast falls eventide
dark shadows merge
and wraith-like wrap
the world in black
ending a lonely day
now comes a
lonely night
where oh
where is
that friendly ear
the gurgling
chuckle
the reassuring
mental presence
albeit some
800- Ks away
unaware perhaps
of the power
she alone
exudes that
lifts the
spirits and
heals the
lonely void
she flits in
flits by
flits out
does not see
nor feel the
outstretched
hand
that seeks
the magic
of her
company
to laugh
to tease
to scold
to chide
i have
missed
you so
much and
still do
