Priceless Beauty
You see me as picture perfect
Like I'm worth it
I see me as broken
Like I'm worthless
I have so many pieces of the puzzle missing
To a picture that use to perfect
I'm steady searching
Steady trying to put pieces together
But it's not working
Yet I don't want you to see that pain in me
So I force it
Force a smile and a laugh here and there
Pretend I don't care
But it's hurting
How do I tell you I hate myself a little more each day?
Or it's hard to look in the mirror because my reflection turns the other way?
Steady trying to find ways to get this picture perfect like it once was
They say I gotta go back to the past
And close some doors
I walked away from them long ago
So what for?
I forgave everyone that treated me bad
Including my "dad"
The past isn't what I'm mad at
I don't hold grudges
It's water under the bridge
It's the present that got me scared
Searching for ways to make this picture perfect again like it use to be

Maybe one day it'll be
