The Petal
I saw a petal
Fall from the sky
It fell all the way
To the ground
It swept through the air
As swiftly as can be
It swooped left and right
When near the ground
I tried to catch it
As I did
It fell apart
I should have realized
That it would
Shrivel to nothing
Where I stood
That is how life is
No matter what you do
It can't always be saved
Like the petal
Falling from the sky
