A rose resilient

A rose climbs high on lattice bare,
Through morning's warmth and evening air
Its tender vines reach ever wide,
Yet thorns defend where petals hide.

It braves the winds, it weathers rain,
Through night's deep hush and daylight's strain.
Each leaf a witness, each thorn a shield,
Guarding the beauty it's yet to yield.

Through seasons change and time's decay.
Its colours deepen, come what may.
With petals soft and roots held tight,
It gathers strength in fading light.
Each bloom a promise, forged and true.
In hues enriched by trials anew.

For roses know, when fierce winds call,
Their truest beauty grows through all.
Not in the calm of sunlit grace.
But in the storm's unyielding face.
Each bloom a testament of fight,
A flower born from darkest night.
