Who Am I

I’ve thought about it for a long time now
The question lingers in my mind
It grabs my attention and yells loud,
“Who Am I?”

Do I belong?
Am I worth something?
This confusion lasts long
Is there a reason that I breathe?

Am I someone who has a purpose?
To do more than just to live
I’m lost without a compass
And I can’t find my way again

How do I respond?
When I remain unaware
With my anxiety growing strong
And no answers anywhere

Now I’ve lost hope
I’ve run out of time
For I will never know
“Who Am I?”
