The Mindless Confession

“You are in way over your head”
“Your eyes are screaming, but you smile instead”
Stop with this madness, I can’t take it any longer
My whole future depends on me being much stronger
“Did you forget the words they shot straight into you?”
“Relentless when they carved hatred on your skin like a tattoo”
Stop replaying, replaying, replaying what they said
My life is more than the horrible lies that they spread
“You must be reminded of who you are”
“You fake it every day but you’re covered in scar”
Maybe it’s true, I can leave this place but the words sink through.
Maybe it’s true, I’ll always be painted this pathetic shade of blue.
