Conflagration

Skin's on fire
The burning comes from within
It warms but does not consume

Trapped in close
It threatens sanity
Where's the release?

A touch grazes thigh
A new trail blazes
A scream stifled

Where did it go?
Is this falling?
Will the dark end?

The heat rises again
The roller coaster clicks
The glow returns

And it escalates
Too close! Too close!
Feathers and wax melt away

Sharpness erupts
Nipples erect
Arching raises them skyward

Wordless mouth opens
Gaping eyes smolder
Knives slice invisibly

There it is
There it went
Slack trumps form

Laying flat without thought
The darkness returns
Void envelopes

But gravity returns
It pulls upwards
Towards the sun again
Towards pain and ecstasy
