The Carousel
There was close-by a SPECIAL PLACE!
I'd go to as a child.
It looked a lot like a circus tent...
But, it was MORE than that- INSIDE!!
For as you entered, Its domain,
What a wonder you would see!
Horses on a Carousel!
A CAROUSEL MADE FOR "ME"!!!!
Round and round and round
You'd go!
With lights and mirrors bright!
And to a little girl like me,
You were and "Awesome" sight!
I'd pick a horse to ride on,
The prettiest I could find!
And get myself up on it,
And ride you for a time!!
I never will forget the days,
I rode that CAROUSEL!
You'll always be a part of me!
IN MY HEART YOU WILL ALWAYS DWELL!!
You made me feel so "SPECIAL"
As I rode you round and round!
So "SPECIAL" that I almost felt,
like I was wearing a CROWN!!
Today, you are no longer there-
They have taken you away!
BUT! soon, I hear,
you'll once again-
GIVE SOMEONE ELSE....
A SPECIAL RIDE!!!
