A Mother's Love

From day one you were the best
There's no doubt that I am blessed

From nursing my head when it was sore
To sending me money a million miles or more

You made me breakfast everyday
Even on a Friday you gave me some pay

You walked me to school hand in hand
When I cut my knee you'd say I'll be grand

When I was sad you wiped my tears
And when I was afraid you consoled my fears

How can I repay you I don't think I can
Even that now I am a man

To another country I did roam
But a I can write you is this poem

Mother I love you I truly do
Where would I be without you
