Her

You wait for her to reveal
The truths hidden behind her lies
You watch her in a silence
Removed from her disguise

Her strengths no longer shadowed
In her weaknesses flare
She’s musing again, it seems
Her darkest secrets, bare

Were they ever hidden
Or were you just blind
Questions you ask yourself
As you search for peace of mind

You hate that you wonder
What it could have been
Had she not belonged
In another mans den

Angry at yourself
For wanting to touch her still
A hunger locked deep inside
That only having her can fill

Somewhere in the madness
The faint hope for a taste still shines
And you watch her closer still
Trying to read between her lines.
