Gone

She holds on to him
Scared, worried, afraid
Afraid to loose him
She cant
Not again
A tear falls on her cheek
Remembering the last time she let him go
No
That cant happen again
She squeezes
He tightens his grasp on her
She is grateful that
He is here
Safe
Not dead
Then waking up
Crying because
He is gone
He wont return
She lays in the cold
Surrounding herself with blankets
Only blankets to protect her
Not the one she loves
For the one she loves
Is dead
