Maybe They Complained Too Soon

When you carried your dreams in your heart
Little did you know that they were to be crushed in the start
Your body shook the whole world when washed ashore
The innocence in your cute face and the body with vim
Got reduced to a crushed heart that tells tales that fill up your eyes to the brim
Just because the government wouldn't arrange to bring
Refugee families with future dreams into its wing
Everyone wanted to talk
None had the guts to do something, to bark
Is that why Kurdi you complained too soon?
When power hit us hard
We hardly cared about the consequence and uprooted your families lad!
How many tears would have your eyes shed
When you realized we had the audacity to kick you out of YOUR bed
How much would have the soft hands of yours pleaded
When you realized we didn't have the qualm in our hearts kneaded
When you raised your hands against my face
Just because you thought my camera to be the gun in place
You didn't just punch me in the guts honey
Your stares stabbed me straight in the heart Sonnie!
Is that why you complained too soon buddy?
When there was a conflict of interest
And we bombed your heavens without any shame and lorn the rest
Your soul tried to mettle the unexplainable scars that your body held
While all we cared about was holding our status tight
And out of pain, you yelled.
I wanted to kiss your sweet pale forehead
As your lifeless fingers curled mine and your soul leaped out instead
My heart shattered into pieces as I sat there
Numb and speechless hoping you would nictitate and giggles that tear
But you lay there lifeless questioning our useless grit and shameless conquest
Is that why you complained too soon bud?
When some children bathed in riches
You drowned in poverty's clutches
When others slept in their parents' warmth
Your innocent heart couldn't comprehend your fate
And when I came to provide an asylum
You thought I came to reunite your parents with you and your phylum
You kissed my cheek
Your hope shattered me and sent me weak
I couldn't break that your parents were dead
Is that why you complained too soon as said?
You couldn't trace the respect for women that turned into lust
You couldn't figure why some were rich while others were reduced to dust
You could never get why agathokakological got bent into just sinister
You never could understand why human values became a disaster
And that the world became too hot to handle
Karma bites, d'you all hear?
Some of us cared-none did enough
You complained too soon bud.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
