One I Long For

Reaching this level
Of awakening misunderstood
I know I am loved
But physically I'm black and blue

Still fighting the same fight
Struggling the same struggle
I've left it at God's feet
But the pain isn't crumbling

Im tired and broken
Used and ready to end it
My cries feel more like a trait
Not a truth I like to dwell in

Please God continue to strengthen me
When I am at my weakest
At times I don't hear you
But I know you have not forsaken me

My enemies are strong
Satan is even stronger
But I know I'm not alone
But not seeing you makes it take longer

My days are passing me by
With a smile I've longed to feel
one that I don't have to fake
Where my happiness can feel real
