Another Cinderella Version

As mean as anyone could be
In the land of the North Sea
Was a girl drinking her afternoon tea
As she was waiting for her dad under the fig tree

Not only he would bring a stepmother
But also some other
And as they arrived one after another
Cinderella found things to do rather

Acting as if they didn’t even exist
Cinderella didn’t offer any assist
And as if she couldn’t resist,
She assigned them with a list.

As days were passing by,
The father could not rely
And without saying any goodbye
He made everyone’s eyes dry.

Left as the one in charge of the house,
Cinderella killed her friend the mouse
And had nobody to fix her blouse
As she was preparing to meet a spouse.

Once Cinderella got a ball invitation
She didn’t tell her sisters of the location
So you can imagine their frustration
As they tried to do a negotiation.

While dancing, Cinderella was surprised
To see her stepsisters disguised
And realized she had treated them as despised
Rather than how her father had advised.

Cinderella asked for forgiveness
And her sisters did so with their goodness
And without realizing that the prince is a witness
They remained with stillness.

As the Prince was impressed
He decided to marry them and be blessed
And as Cinderella realized that her future was messed
She decided to head west.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
