Stronger

Why do we think that no one can hear?
They keep their distance when we need them near
Friends don't call in or ring on the phone
That's when you find yourself really alone
We discover true friendship when the chips are down
You'll be surprised when you realise just who sticks around
Sometimes it's the people that you least expect
Now their the ones you'll never neglect
We all learn to be restful when times on our side
These are the friends to talk to when we want to hide
In a while we will discover, we are stronger in body and mind
And that inner voice is there being gentle and kind
When we feel they are distant and not always clear
Is when we become strong, not bending an ear
Positive thoughts, like what's good in your life
Like a cat or dog, friends, a hubby or wife
Maybe it's a car or a pot plant full of colour
Think about the good things and sing to yourself lalala
We know that it's scary and we never want to be alone
But your life is the one that you have to own
Remember it's not up to others to rebuild your life
By all means ask for help if you are in some strife
Before you know it, stronger and stronger you'll be
You might end up a writer or poet just like me
Then why do we think that no one can hear?
Cause you are stronger and don't need them so near

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
