Weak

My body cries
crimson tears.
I wasn't strong enough
to fight my fears.
As the wounds
continue to bleed
the pain in my heart
begins to feed.
Now as the pain
begins to end
with my remaining strength
I crawl into bed.
As my heart slows
I feel at peace.
My breathing stops
forgive me, please.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Good afternoon Myrna. The weekend and half this week are gone and this is the first I have had a chance to read. Had so much drama in my life. Really feeling good reading poetry today. Glad yours was among them. Love, Carol
