Return To Madness

Agony of heart
Feelings beyond despair
Poison apple staining the flow of purest lifeblood
Stolen moments which stole from me
My uniqueness and self once again
Left lying below the stairs.
Hidden in the rafters of my mind
My sanity escapes me for now
Waiting for its return battered and bruised
Unrecognisable as to the carefree soul it was before the madness
A madness i promised myself I would never visit again
But here I am
Lost, alone and indifferent
To joy around me.
But memories of past victory holds on
And I will survive once again.
Will I ever learn?
