Gold

I stood beside the angel

Who wed the devil on the cliff

And burnt like a match stick in the night

If at once I could hold her hand

I would let mine burn

In the night I've burned before

So it is no large thing for my skin to cinder

We will stand with you at the brink

And draw you from the edge

Do not be led off into the dark

And feel strong again

You're gold and just don't know it yet
