Money/Anguish, Fame/Shame

An extra mile across the line
Kick the bass one more time
Life is simple, life is great
I don’t thank it for my faith
How many men have died for my sins?
The answers kill you from within

Glory and blame, it's all the same
You still don’t understand
Money and fame, anguish and shame
Some things go hand in hand

Shove this apple down my throat
Your poison is my antidote
I don't burn and I don't bleed
Only as dead as secrets you keep

I will cry an alibi
What more could you want?
Money and fame, anguish and shame
Isn’t the halo enough?
Glory and blame, it's all the same
You still don’t understand
Money and fame, anguish and shame
Some things go hand in hand

Glory and blame, it's all the same
You still don’t understand
Money and fame, anguish and shame
Some things go hand in hand

Your celebrity, the enemy

Glory and blame, it's all the same
You still don’t understand
Money and fame, anguish and shame
Some things go hand in hand
