Me, My Soul and I

Me, My soul and I

I am starting to cleanse.
I am cleaning my soul.
It's filling with love, it's no longer a hole.

The dark and the dim,
they are starting to lift.
Little by little my anger will sift.

Through my eyes it is light I am starting to see.
That light is happiness.
I think it is me.

A gentle smile finds my face.
I feel I am worthy, not just taking up space.

Yes, if we do not love ourselves we will never be as happy as we could be, even if others love us. I believe the love we give starts within and I believe you captured this well.
