Never Lost Mine

It cant be worse
If you didn’t have a mom tonight
I lost mine young
I’ll never be alright

I hear the stories
That they say of love
I know she’s seen me
From her cloud see up above

I’ve been married
To a woman I adore
Been with her longer
Than I knew my mom before

I see my mom’s inspiration everyday
I hear her eyes, she loves me
But don’t that make you know me
I trust that you love me

And that’s alright
If you hear it
I don’t expect you to feel it
I love you anyway, that seals it

Cause me and you
Don’t need a day
We always know that each other
Has our backs in every way
