It's Like That

It’s like that, you know, To find exactly what you’re looking for, Even when you swore it would be no more, It’s like that, you know. You might think I wasn’t born to love you, But be sure I wasn’t born to lose you. I know you fear that I might hurt you, But I just want to be a fool for you. It’s like that, you know, Even if you don’t know that you’re all I’m looking for, The rest of them are leaving, But I ain’t leaving you. There’s a line behind your days, But I know they’re all mistakes, You need to know all I want, is to be at your side. And it’s like that, you know, You have to hurt to learn to love, And even be with the wrong someone, But it’s alright, you know. I told myself I wouldn’t rush in, But I’m eager to see, What our days could be, It’s like that, you see, Perfect strangers, smiling back at danger. It’s like that, you know, Two broken souls will mend a whole, I wasn’t born to lose you, And now, you know. April 21, 2019
