River of Hades
The somber sludge spreads forth,
swallowing every entity
in its path.
Vexed spirits burst free,
grotesque faces
all around.
This river that was once
pure and refined;
now tainted,
Now reeking of demise,
the body count is
untold.
This dismal bog has seen
it all from tin cans
to oil spills.
It once harbored life,
now it steals
your soul.
