Fuel
Nothing burns so bright
as a bad poem no scribe
admits it but something
in the rotting rhyme and
wayward verse ignites
like kindling one suspects
the sweat and passions
invested only to be scorned
I drop two rejected sonnets
in a fire and enjoy a heat not
felt since my novel was returned
