Where a Girl Found God

it was 10:30 PM and we were so paranoid
that your dad would see us
and the streetlights reflected in your eyes
and they shone like the stars we were kissing under
and God, all I wanted was to hold you forever,
your mouth was the only one I wanted on mine,
and your arms were where I found God.

by the way- this poem is about my girlfriend and I and a cute night we had on Saturday hanging out and talking under blankets on my driveway :)
