The Voice of the Poet

THE VOICE OF THE POET

Friends I've walked many roads within my life
been through so much both good and bad
As I sit looking at the world we live under
with my eyes open wide so much I am deeply sad

So many people of this world enjoy danger and greed
not caring about the people they crush or who's
Hearts they break, who they rob or take from
or slander good people others take advantage of or abuse

Governments make war endless taking land and money
friends making us their puppets at times casting us astray
Who enjoy watching poverty sink every country
nor care in anyway about the good people that they betray

Those who enjoy the negative things of this world friends
I heed warning to those who believe they are of high power
Over people of a land that no man lives in forever
my friends be-careful for just as quick life can go sour

Friends when you lose a loved one or a close friend
don't let the devil in to take control of that sorrow
For he only provides things to destroy you're mind and body
give him nothing in your life to take or borrow

Friends don't hate one another nor you're enemies
for this world is already saddened in it's own fate
This world needs change every avenue, every place
together we can change the world friends it's never too late.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
