-fool-

Thinking that I could just dance through life,
What a fool I am for following that melody.
But such a weak-minded person I am,
I couldn't stop it from reaching me.

I? finding myself lost in this fake monochrome,
Dreaming of kaleidoscopic rainbows.
Ill find myself drowning away in this place,
For no one really knows.

Closing my eyes and drifting off into dream,
But dreaming of a fake and hopeful future.
Even though it’s driving me insane,
It’s something I can't help but nurture.

I? finding myself lost in this fake monochrome,
Making up kaleidoscopic lies to buy.
Having dyed myself in the colours I know well,
No one will see the blue dye.

Blocking out the world around me to ignore,
What I can and can't do are blind to me.
I? no hero, I can't save the world around,
But that’s something I just can't see.

I’m finding myself lost in this fake monochrome,
Thinking I’ll get by with kaleidoscopes alone.
When I reap, I’ll have nothing left,
For nothing is all that I’ve sewn.

Like a crushing weight over my head,
That melody becomes corrupt and broken.
All of these times unheard, images unmade,
And all these words that are unspoken.

I’m finding myself lost in this fake monochrome,
Dreaming of kaleidoscopic rainbows.
I was a fool to think this song could lead me home.
